Favorite Pieces from January to April
The first piece Stitch Therapy by Emma Parker, I like because they are so simple yet effective, they look pretty as well. The words on them doesn’t seem to match the look but it works.
The second piece by Farhad Moshiri, I just really like the whole idea of it, it shows like even though you say you are happy the fact its made up of knives show perhaps you aren’t.
This piece called Bloom by Anna Schuleit was made in a soon to be demolished hospital in the wards that deal with mental health, I really like how that perhaps to the people there at the time it was seen as a thing of ugliness as although they were getting better, it felt like it was forced in this strange environment but now its made into a thing of beauty.
Tornado by Tokuin Yoshioka is made up of thousands of fiberglass straws, I like how something so small can be made into this beautiful structure that at first glance would appear as clouds.
The last piece is perhaps my favorite, its is by the artist Urs Fischer and it was a man made of wax and was slowly burned down, I just liked the way the wax fell and just all the time it was burning it just kept making new art.
